Yes, my awesome X5 that I baby just won't stay out the shop. Now It's leaking oil/blood/feces?

Any thoughts of where this is coming from?

Your oil filter maybe? Thats alot of oil though. Did you open the hood and look around with a flashlight? Could be your oil seperator and one of the hoses might be disconnected somehow. That's alot of oil man..You have the 4.4 so the seperator is located towards the back of the engine bay near the top..

doesn't look like engine oil. more like power steering fluid to me. check your power steering fluid level to confirm it.

That was my first impression - it looks a bit red, and it's right under the PS reservoir.

I think you are right, here are some pics of where I think it's coming from. I opened the top to the rexervoir on the left and it still had liquid in it. It was the same liquid that was leaked. I can see that it has leaked all aroung on hoses, etc. I'm not sure if it's a connection failure or what. I've got to drive 35 miles to my indy shop, think it would be a problem?

Top it off with some clean fluid, and as long as it doesn't start making noise you should be fine. If you are really worried, take a spare bottle of fluid. The pump will start making a horrendous noise when it is nearly out of fluid - if it gets that far. But you have been driving it until now, and you didn't mention a noise. Thus I would say you can probably top it off and get to the shop.
