What is covered under warranty?
Dealer says neither item is covered under the warranty. Friend of mine who works for BMW says it is. Comments????? |

Next dealer ASAP. 45,000 miles, I'd say start making a long list of what you need done and get going to the dealer fast. Get an extended warranty too.

Yes, EVERYTHING should be covered for the first 50k miles.
BMW Factory Extended warranty is only good for 1st time owners.... but look into 3rd party extended warranties. |

Not everything is covered. If you hit a pole with your bumper, you will not get a new bumper. Only stuff that breaks on its own.
You are correct, BMW does NOT offer an extended warranty to BMW owner's who are not original owners as well. You will need to buy one from a 3rd party. The "Platinum plan" warranty from Fidelity Warranty Services is very highly regarded from what I hear. Quote:
