If you buy a DVD Nav from eBay, it should simply plug and play.
That's what I did for my 3 series from CD - DVD Nav. That's quite expensive for a Nav or is that the monitor you're referring to? |

I changed my Mk3 unit and fitted a Mk 1V unit, plug and play ,no reprogramming required.
Plenty of 2nd hand units on ebay for £350 -£400 . Also a 2009 disc will be about £20 see BMWx5 site and do a search .(UK maps |
