X5 burning/losing oil?

might be CCV situ, but if Dlopez's X has always been a 'Miami' car, I wouldn't suspect that, due to high ambient/average temps...maybe head gasket or?

my first reply was relating to the M62 / TU engine

your X5 has the N 62 engine . here is a link to a thread showing a diy for oil separator on that engine . pic posted here also to identify location of valve next to throttle housing .
