Problem when at 50-60

Hey everyone

I have a problem with my X5, when im driving around 50-60 mph, the car seems to dip the revs then revs up again, its only doing it sightly, doesnt do it when at idle or when i do over 60..

car will be running at 2000-2500 rpm, and you can see the needle drop and then it revs back up to normal, its doing it all the time any help will be brilliant

Scotty

If you hold it at a higher rev while idling, any hesitation/stumble?

Can you feel the engine stumble/cut out a little or is it just from watching the tacho?

Try pulling any stored codes
Could be spark related or fuel related.
Do a fuel pressure test.

It could be a fault with the drive that controls the valve for the variable length intake runners, or the associated sensor. I would think a code would be thrown but I'm not sure.
