I installed the Dinan strut tower brace and camber plates on my 2002 4.6. Yes I cut the back of the plastic brace or molded in bracket to allow the bar to pass behind the washer reservoir--no be thing. I have had the strut tower brace in place for several years--no problem with the reservoir. When I remove the brace, have many times as it is very hard to get the engine cover off without doing so, the X is in the garage. As long as the air suspension is holding air and you turn the turnbuckles to fit the bracket and the alignment is not changed. The hardware kit consists of two turnbuckles with lock nuts (12mm) that screw into the bar and two allen head bolts, washers and 12mm nuts. The strut tower brace, spacers and camber plates always give the alignment shop fits. Dinan has there own specs for and more agressive alignment but unless you are tracking the X it is not necessary.

When you install the strut tower brace slide it behind the washer reservoir first and it will drop into place so you can slide the bolts in easily. Without cutting down the molded bracket on the reservoir there is not enough clearance to get the bar in between the reservoir and the firewall so you can connect it to the passenger side bracket.
