Quick 3.0 Oil change question
Dont get mad guys. I have read Hayaku's DIY and looks great. But after reading a couple of forums I just wanted to make sure I have all my facts right before I proceed tonight.

At the DIY he removes the oil filter first then does the drain.

Other sites states loosen up the oil filter case and drain the oil to prevent oil from coming out the oil filter case.

What is the right procedure? If I go ahead and just removed the oil filter case after getting the X on a ram will oil splatter or leak out?

Please advise
