Quick Angel Eye question

I have an 2001 e53 with HID. I have installed OEM halos from an e60 and wanted to know if there was any way I could wire my halo light bulbs to the daylight running lights. I currently have them wired to the fogs but I want to know if it is possible to wire them to the daytime running lights. I dont want to turn on the fogs every time to turn on the halos. Is there a way? I saw this video online. Hes halos come on right as you turn on the car. How did he do that? I have OEM halo bulbs on each side. They just have the 2 wires to connect.

Cool

DRL's are 5 volts and a problem for powering AE's.

You should just get the AE wiring kit from EAS

Once the waffles are removed, hold the angel eyes where you want them. There is a small tab on the rings. Mark where the tab meets the black inner frame and make a cut out so its fits nicely.

Now, position the rings where you want them, with the tab in place. Tape them somewhat loose with blue painters tape. Adjust the rings as needed eventually taping them securely in place. A few pieces of tape will suffice.

When you are happy with the fitment of the rings to the black inner frame, place 3 beads of clear RTV silicone per the pic below. I put my beads behind the rings mostly so that its not very noticeable. At this point don't mess with it anymore, let the RTV cure. This can take some time. Read the tube for dry time. I waited about an hour.

Carefully remove the blue tape and your good to go.

Going strong for 2 years with no problems.
