I need some help. Will these rims fit?

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and have a question. I have a 2001 x5 3.0. I found some rims and tires on craigslist and wanted to know if they would fit my car. Here's the info. Thanks!!

Wheel and Tire Specs:
Front:
19" x 9"
+24 Offset
Tire: Pirelli PZero Rosso 245/45/R19 - 98Y - 25% Remaining
Rear:
19" x 10"
+24 Offset
Tire: Pirelli PZero Rosso 275/40/R19 - 101Y - 30% Remaining

These wheels are take-offs from a BMW 745Li Sport Package. They are OEM BMW and should fit the following 5,6 and 7 Series. STAGGERED: Rear wheels are wider with a deeper lip.

I think I read somewhere that rims with offset between 8 and 40 will work.

The X5 19" rims are ET48 front and ET45 rear and uses 255/50R19 and 285/45R19. As you can see, those tire/rim specs from the 7er are a bit off from the X5.

Sorry for the ignorance. I have no clue about any of this. So it would be a bad idea to try and put these on my car?

You need to check the following:

1) Make sure the bolt-pattern is the same as the X5.

2) The hub bore is probbaly not the same you'll probably have to use hubcentric rings.

3) If those two above are okay then I will stick my neck out and say they will fit. However, they will be a bit aggressive looking on the fronts and you'll probably want to get spacers for the rear - but not necessary.

Go to your local Discout Tire Co. They are of great help.

Someone on here posted the 7 series had the same bolt pattern as the X5.....but the 7 series wouldn't have the same bolt pattern as the 5 or 3 series. If they are selling a one size fits all, I'd be cautious.

The OEM X5 wheels have more positive offset than the 7er (+48F & +45R vs +24F/R), which means that the 7er wheels will stick out more (provide a wider track) when compared to the X5. Imagine adding 24mm and 21mm spacers to the front and rear, respectively, to the OEM X5 wheels...that will give you an idea what the +24 offset gets you. This may not be a bad thing...as I think the X5's OEM 19" setup could use another 20mm (40mm total) track width.

The 7er's tires are also "shorter" than the X5. If you're using those specified tire on the X5:
1. Your speedo will be off (it will indicate faster than you're actually travelling).
2. Your drivetrain (engine/tranny/diffs/t-case) will rev higher, thus wasting more fuel and cause more wear.
The tire sizes could easily be corrected by getting new tires.

So...if the hub size and bolt patterns are compatible, then go for it! But don't say we didn't warn you that tires will cause a fortune (average $1200 per set of 4). I'm only at 55K and already on my 3rd set!
