Question Trunk unlocks when turning off headlights!?!

I have a very weird problem. Whenever I turn off (turn light nob) the headlights the trunk unlocks!?

I cannot open the trunk when pressing the rear button, but have to use the key to unlock...

Anyone???

It's a 2003, X5, Diesel...

Cool feature. No really, something is shorted somewhere. Remove the switches and clean the contacts, see if that helps.

I'd start with trunk switches and light switches.

I had a 2006 Jeep that when I would turn on the radio the doors would lock. Turned out to be the body control module was bad.
