I cannot open the trunk when pressing the rear button, but have to use the key to unlock... Anyone??? It's a 2003, X5, Diesel...

Cool feature. No really, something is shorted somewhere. Remove the switches and clean the contacts, see if that helps.

I had a 2006 Jeep that when I would turn on the radio the doors would lock. Turned out to be the body control module was bad.

the circuit for the license plate lamps have shorted to the grip strip. replace the rear grip strip. pretty common on e83 and e53
