Formal introductions

Hey Fellas!

So as some of you may already know, I just recently picked up an Estoril 4.8is for my wifey. It came to me dirty as F*** so it took me a good 2.5 days (in my spare time) to clean this badboy up and get it smogged. So here she is, finally!

BTW, was this anyone's car on here? My buddy Dion told me that jvit7 (IIRC) from this forum showed him the link to this car and I ended up buying it. And last year, I had found this exact model forsale in Utah but passed at the time and he ended up buying it. Small world.

Love everything but the blue steering wheel. Nice car.

Oh, looks like your house is about to be pulled into the ground by some demon weeds/trees. Might want to call an exorcist or at least pull out a weed wacker.

Nice! They already put the running boards and front flares for ya!

Let the mods begin! I bet you the previous owner already installed LED bulbs for the angel eyes -and if you're lucky maybe even the angelibrights!

Yeah, the blue wheel threw me off too. But the dealer guy told me he had it sprayed along with the front lower valence b/c it had some scratches on it. I thought I read it was common that the steering wheel finish was easy to scratch. Will probably just get a black piece to replace. I don't like the blue either...lol.

As for the "weeds" those are my boston ivies that are just starting to regenerate for the spring. Don't worry, it makes the house look totally different once the leaves come on

Yeah, this was the exact car I wanted to get for the wifey. It had all the options I wanted including the sliding rear floor I had asked about previously.

Unfortunately, no LED AEs but if you could show me where to get them and put them in, I would love to do this mod! He did do Xenon interior lights which I thought were ok, since its probably too much blue for me. I wouldn't mind going back to stock or red/orange interior mood lighting. The tails are silverstar type but they blink Red which I don't like. I'm going to have to put in some amber LED blinkers. The sidemarker blinks blue which I don't like either so I'll be puttin in a wedge LED amber marker there. But other than that, its everything we wanted in an X5. Love the exhuast note too!

Also, the pano roof is soooo awesome. Originally I wanted to get a 335 vert but with the baby and all, it wasn't really an option. With the Pano roof, its like I get a psuedo convertible! It really feels bright and nice when you open it all up. Its like having the best of both worlds (vert and suv!). Loving the new X5!!!

Well, here's a thread I started for HID upgrade on the fogs (another worthwhile upgrade IMO).

http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...e-hid-kit.html

You basically have two options for AE bulbs and they're all plug-n-play.

1) Ebay kind usually $30-$50.
2) www.angelibrights.com v3.0 for $300 (sometimes they're on sale).

If you see any other AEs they're gonna be just another version of the ebay kind. In the thread I linked I have pics comparing the two kinds of AE bulbs.

Funny, but the X is my wife's too .. I need to get an upgrade!

To be fair he didn't start it ... and this is HIS thread anyways!

I still can't believe the dealer was so lazy that he sprayed the steering wheel blue and not black.
