Smudgy NAV Screen

Recently purchased a 2006 X5 4.4i. The NAV screen is kinda smudgy/cloudy. It almost looks like the previous owner tried to clean it with something he shouldn't have. Is there anything I can try to clear it up? If not is it replaceable (last resort). If so is it costly?

Also...how does one get the latest NAV DVD?

Thanks!

try Download music, movies, games, software! The Pirate Bay - The world's largest BitTorrent tracker and search using BMW Navigation. There is a 2009.1 High disc posted.

As for the nav screen, I always use windex to take off the oil and then I use a mircrofiber cloth to buff it a bit. You can also use the leather cleaner wipes like Meguairs to treat it and then buff again with the microfiber. It works well for me.
