A conversion post already exists at x5world, but I've never seen a "converted" X5 before in actual pictures. Well...it would obviously look the same as a 2004.

If the facelift didn't include such oversized kidneys, I would've lusted after one. The angel eyes are a nice touch. Alas, I enjoy my "old" X5 more.

Actually, it has both the 2004 facelift plus the aerodynamic package. Right?
Doh, it pays to read the quoted text

I have thought about facelifting my '02 but I would never just do it for the heck of it. If I were unfortunate enough to bang up my front end such that I need new fenders and hood, I'll do it but I'd rather have an X5 free of collision damage.

If I ever came across a used X5 on a car lot that was a '02 and had '04 cosmetics I would run far away from it....who knows what happened to it? Was it in a collission? Did the body shop use the wrong parts and do a hack job fixing it? It's tough to say...

I mean if I were to buy one from someone I knew that would be one thing....
