Hi all. This is my first post here. I've been tracking this post because I think I am experiencing similar symptoms to some of what described in previous post. I first started noticing something felt different with my X5 back in Oct. Incidentally that's when I crossed 50k mile mark. I've replaced all four rubbers and battery with new since. What I'm feeling is a slight but noticeable uneven running of the engine (or vibration) from idle to highway speeds. I can feel it in the steering wheel and the gas pedal. At idle when at a stoplight, with the A/C of, I can tell the rpm seem a bit low and vibration noticeable. If I turn the A/C on I notice the rpm increase a bit and vibration sometimes not noticeable at all. When the vibration is noticeable I also noticed that power feels lacking in the second gear range when moving off from a stop (transmission in full auto). Now that it is really cold, when I run both seat and steering wheel heaters, doesn't seem to affect. There is no fluctuating interior lights either. One common thread I noticed from the different posts is that the idle issue seem to show up after 50k milage mark and common to X5 4.4's. I have aftermarket intake filters installed now for several years and I have not cleaned it, ever, so I will check that first. I find it hard to believe that engine mounts are bad already but I will also check some of the other suggestions. I'll keep you all posted.
Motor Mounts can go bad at any point on any car from mile 1 to mile 500,000 ...its a roll of the dice. and X5 motor mounts are hydraulic
