Blackberry Bold and X5 Bluetooth

Hello,
has anyonemanaged to get a BB Bold 9000 connected up with the bluetooth in a 2006 X5 4.8 (full nav etc)?

I had a BB 8700r and it worked almost perfectly with bluetooth. I just replaced it with a BB Bold 9000 and i can't get it to accept the code (4 digit) and much ofthe time it won't even identify the BMW.

I don't know if this is a BMW issue or a BB issue, but I need the handsfree features of the phone and I've got to get it working.

thanks,

John

Did either of you have any difficulty getting it to connect the first time? what vehicles are you using the units in?

Perhaps i am doing something wrong, but my understanding is that the BMW unit goes into connect mode automatically in the first couple of minutes after the car is turned on. There is nothing else that has to be done to put the BMW bluetooth into connect mode. Is this right? You then (in those first couple of minutes) run the search function in the Blackberry and connect with the PK #.

thanks,

John

Read the BT boards...there is a thread on the main page as well that helped me out...takes some patience (at least it did for me the first time I connected) but you'll get it.

Has anyone tried the Blackberry bold cradle?

I have a 2002 E53 and was thinking of trying the snap in adapter.
