Gasoline
As I was at my dealer getting my tie rods replaced I noticed a newer X3 being flatbedded in. The service advisor told me it was the second time it had been brought in and it appeared to be a fuel pump issue for the second time. He went on to say that he had many cars coming in with ruined/burned out fuel pumps from lower quality fuel being used. He said that the customers were continuing to use higher octane fuel as specified by BMW (at least that's what they were telling him) and he believed the actual quality of the gas was decreasing - including major brands such as Mobil and Sunoco. This was not his belief alone according to a couple other technicians hanging around chatting. Any thoughts?
