19's or 20's

Just to get opinions...I really like a set of 19's...do you think there is much of a noticeable difference between 19's and 20's? And yes I know its one inch smaller. I have 17's on my x5 now.

It depends on the style of the wheel. If the spokes go from the center of the wheel all the way to the outer edge of the lip, the wheel seems bigger since the spokes are longer.

If they have a lip (especially on deep dish wheels) they don't look as big.

For sure! Style 87's are the best wheels you can buy for the e53, IMO.

I'm a big fan of both the 4.8 and the 4.6 20" wheel options. Do I think there is a big difference between a 19" and 20" wheel? No. I think the style is more of a factor than the size when considering the two.

I don't know what it is. Everytime someone brings up the 4.6is 20's I lose my mind. Whenever I see a 4.6is with the 87's, it is pure lust.

OP, I don't think you will notice much difference between the 19's and 20's. They will both be more harsh than your current rims and both look much better, IMO. If you buy 19's, there is a chance that you may end up wishing you would have gone with 20's if you are going to drop the coin to begin with.

Don't forget about any price difference in tires for 20's versus 19's. If you stick with stock Michelin Diamaris the current price difference is $484 or about 43% higher for the 20's versus the 19's. ($1,598 vs. $1,114). Certainly not insignificant.

If we are just talkin' style then, I'd definitely say #177. Nicer than the other 'is stock rims and more rare, which maybe is the reason I prefer them.
