I have mine hooked on to the park light, which means they are on while driving lights are on.

Or, i could use the angel with the fog lights..

Thought it might be cool if they blinked when unlocking the car, and also have them lit with the driving lights.

I think it would be cool to use the drivers door lock and unlock signals as triggers for a latching relay then your remote would turn them on and off.I did a similar mod. with my vert to make the top go up and down with a signal from factory remote.

I have the main power wire going to the power box under the hood and then a trigger wire going to the light in the footwell. AEs come on when doors are unlocked and stay on until I shut the X off.

The main reason I don't want them to be onn all the time as DRL's is because I have the lenses smoked, hence completely different look with them off vs on. I just need to find a parking light that doesn't blink with the blinkers... damn BMW and their fancy lighting!

I have mine all installed and ready to go and now trying to figure out...like you.....how to connect them. The instructions came with " connect the positive wire to DRL and the negative to ground. thats it. ..awesome instructions!

don't worry, its not just bmw. my friend has a grand marquise and he tuned it and oddly enough put in some angel eyes, and they also flash with the blinkers so he avoids using the turn signals as much as possible. (suprisingly angel eyes look good on his car).

glad to hear you got those headlights restored and angel eyes in them! cant wait to see em.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna just power them up with the headlights via relay... I keep the headlights on auto most of the time anyways...

Yes, the red/white is a switched power wire. Kind of strange that you did not get any type of relay with it. If you need anything else let me know.

I have a positive an negative wires coming from my halos. Negative / ground is a no-brainer....Trying to hook the positive to ignition 1 and not sure which wire that is...what color. I saw your pic with the ECU box. youre tapped into the red/white wire in ECU.
Is that ignition 1/acc? can I tap into it with my halo positive wire and it will make my ae come on when I turn the key? My ae's came from a cheapo place and the kit consists of 4 rings, 4 inverters and pos/neg wires comming out of inverters. no releys or any other wires. Instructions sucked and all they said :ground the negative and connect the positive to DRL.
Thanks in advance!! Art.

HEY WEASEL, READ ABOVE.....THIS SHOULD WORK FOR YOU TOO.

But he doesn't want to run the AEs as DRLs. Wouldn't this be the same as having the AEs on all the time?
