Yes, its most lightly your left rear abs sensor. This sensor also kontrols your speed, abs, dsc and without this info the car dont know how many miles/gallon. I had the exakt same failure two weeks ago, bought a new sensor and its realy easy to change. Take off the weel, on top on hub there is a black cable/sensor fasend whith a 5mm umbraco skrew, spray some losener on before so you dont brake it (its plastic) pull it out. Follow cable to a black squere box, innside this box its a blue cable joint. Pull out old plug in new. Star up and all is ok. 2001 3.0i

Hey, thank you again. Will check it out here to see if it is the same number. At least we have a place to start.
We have been reading the blogs on this site and see that there seems to be problems with the transmissions after about 130,000 miles. Does this seems to be the case on your side of the big pond?

I undestand this is a problem here also, some say its becouse trailertow, some say its to mutch tork on low rpm (diesel) I personaly belive in changing tran oil/filter becouse i dont buy the lifetime oil thing. Not everyone agres in that, but i change mine at 130000km and hope for no probl. Let oil varm up before floring it, let car stop before put in d or r.Do a search on this site and a lot of info/meanings on the trany subjekt. Dont read to mutch on this site and think all this problems hapend to you, enjoy you X!
