I need both sides...I have 02 4.6is and they didnt come with the button to fold the mirrors. I already bought a new driver side control...with the button. its all i need right?

Mine does this too. Not always though. I have noticed it only happens after I wash the x5 in winter and some of the water freezes. After being in the garage for a while they start working again.

I have a similar problem, but also a non-functioning driver-side mirror. They seem to fold and unfold immediately, but I also have a problem where the driver-side mirror adjustment doesn't move the mirror face at all. I've taken the back cover off and saw 2 wires connected. I unseated and re-seated them back on, but nothing changed. Is there a separate motor that directionally moves the mirror face? Thanks.

It's a known problem and more than likely a dirty sensor in one of the two mirrors, or both. BMW just swaps the mirrors out to fix the problem. I've had mine done 3 times already.

if any one needs both outside mirror assemblies, i have 2, they are brand new in the box. they are for electrochromatic, fold-in and they are glossy black. they retail $625, lookin for $500 each
