WHEEEWWwwwwwww

So, anyway...
Friday, I was late to a meeting. Tried to make up time on the road. Pushed it pretty hard. (harder than usual) (remember, I'm at 7,000 ft to start) Later, the SES light came on.

Looked at the exhaust, I swear the left looked different than the right; fluids were good. No leaks or smoke etc... Nothing obvious.

So anyway....
Today, I trepidiciously call Santa Fe BMW....

This is Jack..
Hey Jack it's R.
Hey buddy, how ya doin'?
Oh I am pf*cked!
What's up?!
Jack, the SES light came on and I am freaking out! (did not tell him why, and told him I was broke in anticipation of negotiating a headgasket)
Bring it in, we'll take a look.
Alright.

So anyway...

Sitting in his office, he takes the key, puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "we'll read the code and let you know" As if it's my child with cancer!!! (That just freaks me out even more!! )

I am sitting in the Waiting AREA, enjoying some warm water with powdered non dairy creamer... mmmm. He walks over, kneels down, hand on shoulder again!! (oh jeez)
and whispers, "it happened three times, Andy's got it in the back right now"
What?!! what happpened three times?!!!
lean fire, Andy's reprogramming the fire controls right now, it'll take an hour.

asked them to reprogram the lock cylinder alarm thingy and door locks.

FYI, FWIW the engine fire control update has made a difference. Evened out the power curve. It builds between 2,500 and 3k instead of a slam at 3k rpm. (4.4i)
