Sirius install? still on backorder

Bought my 2006 X5 3.0i back in January, part of the purchase was to have the Sirius installed....it was on back order...called today...still on back order. Does anyone have any more info on this? I'm assuming they are updating the units post merger... is there going to be anything else better about them?

I have to admit, I hate how the one in my Z4 cuts out constantly for over passes and what not. My portable unit that I'm using in the mean time is great because it has the 4 second delay to keep you from noticing that stuff...

thanks in advance

2006 X5 3.0i black 43k miles (mine)
2006 Z4 3.0i silver 18k miles (mine)
2006 530xi silver 27k miles (other half)

There were a bunch of threads in January about a new module coming out and that all the currents ones were being held for warranty work... yes, this is through the bmw dealership.

Personally I think Sirius sucks and isn't worth the money at all. I've had the antenna changed 3 times, still cuts out like crazy, unless I'm interested in the news or something I find myself scanning the stations looking for decent music ten times more than with regular FM, and scanning with Sirius takes forever. Already canceled my subscription, and going by their latest financial results, most people are doing the same.

Love my XM, hate terrestrial radio and their stupid DJs (especially in the morning) so I'm the exact opposite. I bought in when SIRI was less than .12/share and it closed at .33/share today so I'm pretty happy with it.

My buddies who I convinced to buy in at a dime and shorted are kissing my a$$ right now and offering to buy me dinner. I say go long.
