4500K is the what the factory HIDs are...
You will have to get an HID kit which will include the bulbs, ballasts, etc. Do a a search on here for "HID fog light" and you will find plenty of info - see my HID fogs below By the way, WELCOME to xoutpost.com!!

i mean you could get 'xenon-match bulbs' but in my opinion spend a bit more and get HIDs. everyone always starts out with them, they look good at first, then you realize they don't really match and your better off with HIDs.

Xenon-match bulbs are basically regualr halogen bulbs with a blue coating on them to make them appear closer to the color of the HID headlights. The problem with them is they do not last very long - I was replacing mine every couple of months. By the time you replace a year's worth of bulbs, you could have paid for a HID kit.

if you dont have projector lense, dont bother with HID. It will scatter the light everywhere and you would blind the oncoming traffic.

OP - I don't know about those xenon-match bulbs but will tell you that if you get HID get the 4500K to match the yellowish stock xenons. Because if you get 6000K (cool/diamond white) it will not match - contrary to what you might read elsewhere. Last edited by TwinsPoppa; 03-19-2009 at 06:19 PM. |
