Mirrors dont fold
Hello all, I have an X5 3.0.d, when I press the button to fold the mirrors they do, but then come back to the same possition, They dont stay folded. Any suggestions on what part I need to change ?. The BMW tech said either Ihave to change the whole mirror or reprogram the motors. Is it a do it your self repair ? Thanks in advance from Spain. |

This is not an uncommon problem.
Check out this thread. My mirror gremlin was resolved when the dealer replaced my mirrors. No problems since.

The door mods had a known issue in older versions. You should get the door modules replaced with newer ones which will have newer software.

Not sure, dont see why not. The motors are in the mirrors so that`s not a problem. The switch that makes them fold is in with the mirror adjuster in the drivers door. I use mine a lot, esp in car parks, couldn`t do without it.
