Code P0343 help!!!!

Got the SES light and checked it with the scanner, P0343 came on Camshaft Sensor Bank 1, so I changed the sensor which I think it's located on the left side of the engine.....light went out when I erased it with the scanner but it came back on.
Any suggestions? O2 sensors?

01 4.4 96.5k miles on the clock. thank you.

How many time did you clear it? Some people replaced those sensors and it went away after awhile - clearing couple of times. I'd do a search while your waiting on a response.

Good luck and sorry I wasn't much help.

I changed the driver side only as the message was Camshaft intake sensor bank 1

I think Bank 1 is passenger's side. You probably replaced the wrong side.

If you're waiting for me, sorry, I have no idea. Maybe someone will chime-in, otherwise another search is needed.

Good Luck!

I switched the camshaft sensor from the left side of eng. to the right side and it has been working fine, no more SES light.
So, just to clarify bank 1 is on the right side of the engine.
