New to me 4.6is

Sold my 4.4 and picked up this 2003 with 28k miles.

Painted the kidneys.

Had a set of style 87 in reps on my old truck, so I put the 315s on the front of this truck for now.

Ordered some spacers for the back, but was thinking of just removing the flares. Any of you know if there will be holes in the trim if I remove the flares?

Congrats! Yes there will be visible holes if you remove the fender flares. I'm sure there's some type of trim 3.0i/4.4i/ trim you can order as a replacement. To each his own but i think the flares on the "IS" models are a compliment to their overall aggressive look.

Nice looking X5.
If you remove the fenders flares and rear bumper supports it will leave you the holes in the fenders trims and rear bumper.
I have a set of regular fenders flares from 3.0i you can pick it up from me and buy a rear bumper from 3.0i or 4.4i

I think 25mm or 30mm will bring the wheels out to the fender flares.

Grats on a great ride

Great looking ride! Congrats!

I would keep the flares .. especially if you're adding spacers. You'll want to keep as much stuff from kicking up already.

nice... more pics!!! 315s in front show some more pictures of those.. don't buy from mrbmwx5.. that guy is no good.. can't trust him.. i have a set of rear fenders.. LMAO

Seriously - he's a good guy - damn him for offering sale first...

If you're going to add spacers etc - leave the flares.. hell.. leave the flares anyway - most ppl on this site want a set.. so guess you won't have trouble selling.
