Newby Here.

Hi all, a newby to the forum here, we just picked up a 2005 X5 3.0 this past thursday, 44K miles CPO and love it so far!!

i have a couple of questions and was wondering if anyone here could help me out: i have been offered a maintenance program; is this worth it?

also, any known issues with this year model X5?

Thank you!!

What a bad timing for a newbie on the forum

let's see what Meister has to tell you

seriousely now, congrats on the purchase, those are awsome machines no matter what engine or year... X5 rocks!

A random search on the site would be intersting at this stage. i am sure you're going to find loads of interesting information around...

Welcome to X5World!

Maintenance is definitely worth it. You'll be up to 50 or 60K service in no time, which will cost more than the warranty.

Window regulators are notorious failing points. Unfortunately, there is no way to find this out early

Other than that, no huge issues.
