Dude, this thread is from a year and a half ago... but yeah, New Orleans has some of the most ornate and interesting cemeteries of the world and I love it. I have used that pentax to take many awesome cemetery pictures that were entered into competitions like "cemeteryscape" etc.

I also have a 500m zoom lens I use for taking bird pics for nature mags and such, a few of those have been published.

hey - who resurrected this post anyways? I didn't notice that.

I was at a soccer game in Santa Cruz over the weekend, and it was next to this really cool old cemetery from the 1800's. Not that ornate, but very old and cool nonetheless. Next time I am down that way I will bring my camera and try to get some cool shots. Lighting may be interesting - it's completely shaded.

500mm is quite a lens. I have a 300mm. It's funny, my wife always has to give me crap about taking pictures of things like birds. But hey - I think it's cool.

It's the cemetery shots I love, but the animals/nature shots that get published in magazines... go figure. But I love those too and have always had an eye for good shots.

I saw the date on the original shoot so I didn't reply. But since you were on line, great shots, nice background but have to say your 4.6 is far from "in the grave". Btw just got back from over 4K miles on mine with the new TC. Ran like a champ and averaged 18.8 mpg on it while pulling a small trailer that held our bikes.

Great that she is holding up fine with the new TC. I wonder to myself sometimes when mine will go, but think I have a bit more time/miles because I know how the original owner took care of it and it was NOT dogged at all. I need to do a few things to her now, but am waiting till I get my E36 325is back and on the road so I can take my time as my weekends are already waaay too packed.
