Possible electrical problems

Does anyone know what activates this all at once when I am ready to start my engine, but just short of cranking it, the interior lights go on, the flasher goes on and my power locks open (regardless of what state it is in)? This seems like the same indications as if my X5 got into an accident. I've read in my manuals, that all of these three things would happen in the case of an accident. This happens up to 7 times a week. I've taken it to the BMW shop and a private auto shop that specializes only in BMW's but they could not find any problems when they attached an onboard diagnostic computer.

the MRS module sends out the crash telegram over to the GM. try disconnecting the MRS module and see if it still does it, try replacing the ignition switch.

The dealer didn't finish diagnosing because there were no faults???? If you paid for diagnosis of problem they need to find the problem!

This same exact thing happened to me once a year or so back. It did it when the ambient temperature were unusually cold and about 3 minutes after I started driving. It has not happened to me since and I have no clue what it was. Please post back if the dealer ever finds your issue.
