Drivers Side Mirror Stolen!!! Grrrrrr!

Came home from work today and notice that my X5's Driver's side mirror was stolen! I usually keep my mirrors folded in when it's parked on the street. This could have happened lastnight or today, but i'm not really sure. I'm very annoyed, disheartened and a little pissed off. I've only had my X5 for less than 2 months now and this. I had it parked on the street (which I never had problems before) and i've had neighbors before who had a blue X5 (which they parked on the street) and another neighbor who has an 08 535i (which she parks on the street almost always). Then again, my street is a little busy so people will see whatever. Looks like i'll have to make sure she's always on the driveway now.

I called Hassel BMW and they gave me an estimate on the phone that the mirror could cost around $700 dollars and that's not including paint and labor. My insurance has a $500 deductable... so i'm hoping to get the mirror repaired this Saturday.

I was set to meet up with some Pinoy's in Jersey City this Saturday but it looks like i'll have to take a rain check. Oh well...

I would love to get it fixed before Saturday but I have to work. I can't take off. I get off of work at 4pm and for me to pick up my son at daycare, then head to Hassell, plus deal with traffic will be just too much. I'm assuming i'll have to leave it for some time so hopefully they'll give me a loaner.

Damn those bastards! That sucks! Recently it seems there's been a rash of side mirrors stolen.

Too bad about this Saturday too.

TaMbALoLoNg is an unknown quantity at this point
Just dont park on the opposite side of the street you parked on so they wont take the passenger side mirror.

Sorry to hear that about your mirror, I know it does not help but someone from NY was just telling us about a mirror stolen a month or two ago... Wish you the best in getting it repaired... Sucks I am in a rental this week because my X got hit a few weeks ago while it was parked on the street (I was dropping my son off at his moms).

sorry if this is a dumb question but are you sure it didn't get hit by a passing car/truck?

most likely not... look at the pics... the plugs are still intact. if it was yanked, i'm sure the plugs would have been yanked too.

Plus there was no debris on the road. There would defintely be broken mirror and plastic parts on the ground. Also the side of my X5 is clean
