No, they do not extend past the bumper, but they are longer than the stock 4.4 tips. Maybe this pic will give you a better angle. The tips (and mufflers) are from Dinan.

Or has anyone replaced those HUGE mufflers with magnaflows or something that has a bit more bark?

BTW, I just got my xpipe in so I'll be putting that on today! WHooohoo!

If you can post a audio clip. I want to hear what a stock 4.8is sounds like with the X-pipe. What size pipe did you get?

Jeff, your X5 will sound like a BEAST with the x-pipe.

I clicked the linked and then came back to the forum on the other tab and left it open.

It scared me, I forgot I had it open and the sound was just amazing!

I know what my next mod is.

Thread-Hijack Terminated!

Thread re-hijack.

I ordered mine the other day.. I was watching the clip and got scared.. LOL. can't wait to put them on.. going on vacation for the weekend so will ge it to it next week.

Thread hijack over.

I love the oval tips. had the quad round and had a choice to go chrome 4 quad or dual oval and went dual oval.. i like the fact that the X5 has different tips than all the other cars out there with round tips..

I am with you. I haven't said anything on other threads b/c I thought I had to be the only one who liked the before pics better.

Yes StanF18, I prefer those tips in the picture to the stock 4.8is ones. Ideally I would like slightly larger tips than those pictured.
