Did you change compressor? My wife's X5 started to have similar problem yesterday. I was taking my kid to school and AC wasn't blowing cold. By the time I left subdivision everything got well. Just now my wife called that AC wasn't working on her way to work.
What weasel said sounds right. All AC systems I've seen operate electric fan when pressure spikes up. I'm going to hook up gauges and see what pressures doing. If fan doesn't come on and pressure spikes up - this is a problem. In any case, I don't think compressor replacement needed. It's when your compressor won't be able to create proper pressure delta - then you replace it.. |
