HELP ----- Engine Stall issue...

i have an 02 3.0i with 66k miles...

the car was driving totally fine, when i turned it on after a few errands today, the service engine light went on. I also noticed that there was a lag in throttle response time when i'd press the gas pedal. A minute later the car stalled while i was driving. minutes later i turned the car on and put it in drive, when i pressed the gas pedal the car stalled again. a few minutes later i turned the car on again and managed to drive home. the service engine light is now on and there is a delay in throttle when i press the gas pedal.

Anyone have any idea what my issue is???

Possible cam sensor, idle control valve, check for vacuum leaks post MAS....could be you need a patch for the software software.

I'm sure others will weigh in...

SITUATION
Customers may complain about an idle dip/fluctuation, especially on slow turns or during parking maneuver.

CAUSE
DME calibration.

PROCEDURE
On a customer complaint basis only , reprogram DME using Progman V24.00.

i regularly fill up with Shell 93 octane gas. once every three or four fill ups i use regular gas (87).

When this occurred, i was running near empty (40 mi. range) with the 87 gas in the tank. so what i did was i filled up with the 93 yesterday, and soon after the SES light went off and the car appears to be running okay now.

Ive never used a fuel cleaner but everyone seems to swear by this Techron stuff... should i add some?? Although not required, people seem to recommend an oil change about 600 miles after adding the cleaner. I just got an ($150) oil change last month. what do i do?
