The only way to have CD Changer and ipod functionality is to leave the CD changer as it is and get aux connection for the ipod. It works pretty well, only 2 problems, first you wont be able to charge your ipod and second you can not use your steering controls for the ipod. I like to use the ipod interface to browse through the songs, its quicker and easier.

i totally agree

I had the IPOD integration kit in my M3, and while it was nice not to pick up the IPOD, I ended up leaving it on shuffle for my whole library, as searching songs was a pain.

For my X5, I have a Iphone with a rubber surface case and put it on top of the cup holder cover. I have the aux port in the cigarette tray and a power link from the rear 12V power run through the armrest. I'll take a picture of it, but it's great to have the Iphone coordinated with bluetooth as well. It fades out the music and pauses it, will connect you via phone, and when you are done, it will fade back in the music.

what's great is that I stopped all my subscriptions to sirius radio, and use pandora. with the phone charging all the time, it works great.

search for aux input. there's a whole thread on how it works. also, the first page of X5world, look in the DIY section scrolling down. there's different DIY depending on your type of radio

Where can I buy the AUX KIT for my car?

2006 with DSP and NAV

I called the dealer, they said part # 82110149391

But on back order and no known date of arrival?

Anybody know?
