Lower titanium colored mesh grid

I have an 05 3.0i that just lost a battle with something that busted out a small portion of the lower mesh grid. Seeing as how I have had my X5 for a little over a month, it chaps me to see any exterior flaws. Do any of you wise souls know how much a dealer or local shop would charge to take off the front bumper (with headlight washers) and replace the lower titanium colored mesh grid (PN 51117111767 - $140 for the part). I don't have any experience removing the bumper so I don't feel really comfortable with the DIY approach but is this something I should consider? I just cringe at bringing it in and having to pay labor on top of a $140 peice of plastic if it is something that seems pretty straight forward..

-thanks.

I just replaced my front bumper cover. The 04-06 facelift bumpers have something like ~20 screws/bolts to remove. My only difficulty in pulling the cover off was the corner tabs where the cover meets the fender by the wheel well. There are two tabs on each side there that click into the bumper cover...i ended up snapping 1 on each side. They can be replaced, but seeing as how the new bumper still popped in easily, i didn't sweat it.

You just have to dive in there and do it because once you find out how easy it is, you'll be glad you didn't pay someone to do it for you.

I may just have to go for it. Doesn't sound too painful. I appreciate the advice.
