haha that is unfortunate. that would be so clutch.

rcapilli - they are 20x9.5" front, 20x10.5" back

To all, looks like the two-tone handles is the way to go. I'll leave the black stickers on and see how long they can last especially during the raining season. Getting the handles out is not going to be easy?!

Actually getting the handles out is easier than you think sometimes.

Beautiful! I personally have a silver X5 with red interior and I've been wanting to do the exact same things, and my only concern is that the red seats would clash into the silver/black theme especially with the black door handles.

Although I'm all in with re-painting the black trim since it's a bit pale. Is that matt black? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?

And I'm due for a headlights switch because my OEM ones are dying and I want an excuse to get new angel eyes headlights not just modify it and add AE rings, where'd you get yours?

Again, that's by far the best silver X5 I've seen here.

i heard it is difficult to repaint the door handles. when i got hit and run they did not paint the door handles. i think he said it was because they come painted because they are plastic or something?? i don't know.. maybe someone can ellaborate.

We send them out to get painted quite often... never seen an issue.

dsm2925- Nothing much really. Except keeping it clean. My car is cleaned on daily basis

Jedi Mind Trick- Thanks man. Wow... red interior? Can you show me a photo as I've never seen one? We are lucky that our car is suppose to be neutral in "color" (Silver / Black), so it should not clash with any color as long as you keep it to one. And you are even luckier because the taillights are already in RED, so I think your red interior should not be any problem. It even gives you more reason to paint the caliper red and monochrome all the roundels as well; I never paint the black trims, but I have the luxury of having it cleaned every morning. I paid only US$300 to spray the rims and US$100 to spray the kidney frame and fog trims; And I got my headlights thru a friend who ordered for me from DEPO.

Hey weasel,

Looks like the price of the handle (#10) is not that bad (US$32 each). Cost of a good paint job will probably be about the same or more, and I don't have to take the car down for a couple of days.

Question:
1) taking the handles out easy? Just remove the door panels and unscrew the handles? Any airbag risks?
2) what does "prime-coated" mean? Matt Black? same look as the black trims on the bumpers?
3) I hate the keyhole and I never use it anyway. And since mine is a RHD, can I use the part #14 for LHD and replace part #09 for RHD?

Thanks man.
