You have to yank up on the black plastic trimat the bottom of the housing on the interior lower corner, and pull down and away with the body-colored portion. Be careful, and I would suggest using plastic pry tools to aid you.

For those of you that are have the LED mirror lights turn out quickly:

Go to Radioshack and purchase 2 10 ohm 50 watt resistors. Wire them in parallel in either mirror and you'll be all set.

I know this thread is very old but if someone can please let me know if I can use these bulbs for mirror puddle lights? I have 2003 BMW X5 4.4.i.

168 194 2825 High Power LED Bulbs For Parking Lights, Back Up Lights

Would this cause any error?

There are more powerful ones available too which are 2W - 168 194 2825 2W High Power LED Bulbs For License Plate, Interior Lights

Or I would be better of with 1W bulbs only - 168 194 2825 1W High Power LED Bulbs For License Plate, Interior Lights

Thanks in advance.
