SRS error - battery connection

Hi All,

My SRS light is on but will not reset. I read elsewhere that it may be the SRS computer but got a Carsoft 6.5 OBDCII tool and did a diagnosis and it is giving me a "Airbag error - 11 battery connection 1"

Anyone, have any idea what is causing this? I am not experiancing any other electrical issues.

Thanks.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Could either be a voltage fault or the battery safety terminal... May be worth the extra few bucks to have the codes read with the GT1 and get a proper diagnosis if the light doesn't just clear.

SRS error - battery connction.

Thanks Weasel,

Took out the TIS manual and the Carsoft again, and found that there was a connector behind the tyre which connects the BST to the SRS control module.- It was disconnected. Got the error reset with Carsoft and all good again. Question now - Did the mechanics miss this on their inspection or was I been set up for a new BST or voltage regulator which are all valid defects to the unaware as you suggested... either way, I am now looking for a different dealer for future servicing.

Cheers.
