Depends on what you want... CCFL is always good, some prefer LED. I recommend doing the research to decide which look you like best then finding the best quality ones of that style.

Those are the cheap little #30 set from eBay... 6000k kelvin rating CCFL. But the problem is the cheap ballasts not only caused interference with my front PDC sensors, but one of them went out already. So for now I have the AEs disconnected untill I get new ballasts that don't interfere with the PDC.

I think it's about time we both talk to jLevi for some better quality parts. (I hope he still hangs around this forum)

I am going to end up with these ballasts from jlevi. Here's a link to his homepage. It looks like he might not carry the E53 AEs anymore. I sent a message asking if they do.

One thing to make sure of is the production date of your headlights. do a quich search on this site to find details, but I think they need to be from 9/02 and earlier to have the glue that softens with heat.
