What do you have coming out the back? Stock or aftermarket mufflers?

I also have a 4.4 and I'm contemplating this mod, but for me, it will pair with my Remus bolt on mufflers. I wonder if it will be overwhelming on highway road trips.

Would you mind telling me how much you paid?

Yes I have stock, I wanted to get this mod done first to see how it is...then maybe add something else later in case I want a louder note...I am sure it will sound even better with the Remus

They asked for $80 ... but I also gave a $20 to the guy that actually did the job so not bad at all for $100

Yea, not bad at all! Is that $80 with all parts? A place here in MA (Lou's Custom Exhaust) mentioned $140 for parts and labor, I wonder if they're asking too much.

Well I bough the X pipe a while ago for about $65...so I paid for the labor and whatever else they had to add to make it work ...

$140 sounds about right for labor and parts...it all depends on the shop

ahh man I take your word...and now that I've done this I am looking for something more... 00-03 BMW X5 Mufflers at Andy's Auto Sport

The Remus is a little too expensive for me right now...

For me its perfect. Very deep and rumbly.
I couldn't hear any sound improvement with remus alone. When I added the x-pipe it got loud. I think i posted a couple of sound clips back in the day.

Out of all the aftermarket exhaust options, I believe remus to be more civilized than the rest.
