No previous goodwill repairs and less than 100,000 miles. I even bought it and financed it through the dealer I work at.

That sucks big! I mean, you could just be driving along and then all of a sudden feel like you just got rear ended by an 18-wheeler!?

Hope everything works out in your favor. Keep us posted.
Yeah, it is intermittent... But at least I know when it might do it as the DSC/ABS lights will come on first. It was just a bad mix of the speed I was going and level of accelloration that made it feel that bad kicking into failsafe. I was under slight acceleration at about 40-45 mph if 4th or 5th gear when it kicked back into 3rd for failsafe......

Oh well. I will figure out more on this early in the week. If they don't cover it I might just dust off the old credit card I never use and call it a BMW repair card for the time being.

For an update, BMW does have a policy against goodwilling for employees for the most part, but at least I get the parts just over cost. I'm gonna be fixing her this Saturday at the shop and taking her on the road for a nice little trip the same night with a truck full of people. (only 2 hours each way) She better be nice to me for a while now... just dropping over a grand in DSC module and radiator... which is now leaking a small amount from the seam at the end tank............. I may call her the Mean Mistreater, not sure yet.

Done and done! New radiator, upper radiator hose (looked too brittle to leave) and DSC module installed and programmed/encoded. I also ensured I had the newest trans and engine software while in the progman setup, and I do.

Now I get to take her on the road tonight for a nice loong test drive.

Didn't bother to print it out but I just used the newest software through SSS/progman as I didn't feel like using the new ISTA-P setup.
