My '05 is showing visible rust along the passenger door along the bottem lip. Will be taking it back to the dealer!

I have the smae rust in that location on my 01 X5.
It doesnt strecth as far as yours, but it is there.. Im not too worried though. Ill just use a rondell to clear it off. Prime, add a layer of glue to seal the door, and repaint it with the jet balck original color.. It'll last a loong time, and no one will ever see the paint difference in that area. On mine it's on the right side back door. |

I have the same thing, on a couple of my doors, i am thinking of getting it patched this spring.

Glad to know I'm not alone with this. This is a really difficult area to fix with the interior and exterior moldings as well as the door skin seam. It bothers me that it's this bad already....but I guess when you live in upstate NY you pay for all the crap they spread on the road. This state might be in a huge budget crisis, but they spare no expense for salting the roads.
