Bluetooth module

My telephone function has disapeared from menu options on the Nav screen, it did this before so I took it to my BMW dealer who then charged me £95 for the pleasure of removing the fuse then putting it back in again. Apparently I am using a phone that is not on the compatability list so was not covered under warranty. Does any one know what fuse the bluetooth module is located under si I can pull it myself.

I'm having the same problem right now with my 06 X5. Maybe I'm missing something but where is the fuse for the bluetooth located?

Don't know which fuse it may be. I had a similar problem last year. All I did was unplug the Bluetooth unit for 5 minutes and reconnect it. Problem solved.

Good luck,
Dan

i realized i'm an idiot after posting this....BMW has the device labeled as Telephone, not bluetooth. I checked my fuses (i believe 73 and 74 in the rear fuse box and 7 in the front)...after i reseated fuse #7, the feature was restored. Crisis averted

Help. New to forum. I have 2005 x5. Was using the phone/Bluetooth and I put on a Bluetooth headset before I turned off engine and exit x5 When I got back to x5 the dash showed phone still engaged and now I can't use phone nor radio in x5. I don't have a navigation system. How can I reset to start using again

remove fuse 74 in the trunk, then put it back... it should reset the BT... try it, let us know if the problem persists or it got resolved

Fantastic - That did it. The first time this happened I took it to the BMW repair and it took one day for me to get the vehicle back. OMG
Thank you so much

welcome to the forum... usually we expect pictures of your ride from the first time posters - so, you owe us that!!!

I am glad I could help. Just think of it - if the previous problem was the same, it took them one day and maybe whatever you paid them... just to do the same thing...

Anything happens to your car, check this forum first, chances are it happened to someone before.. and the dealer - is the last place to take your car to, a lot of times they have no idea what to do...

I see you tried to email me, my inbox is full, i am too lazy to clean it up...
