Is the sound from one specific side of the car.?

It could sound like its your, not sure what its called in english either, but its some kind of bearing.

They usually wear out when the rubber cuffs protecting them wear out.

On both side, on the drive shafts, there are rubber cuffs shielding this bearing. Yo can see them if you look under your car. If you can see on your car that they are cracked, or if there is sign of grease coming out of them, they are probably worn out, and so on the bearings have been damaged by dust and grind from the roads.

This was a shitty explanation, but im not english either.

If this is the case for you, it is not a biggy.. You should however have it checked before bearing on both sides wear out.

Well.. Since you have the clicking/ratteling sound, the joint(bearing) is probably worn out already. This means it wont be any use just replacing the rubber cuff.. Cause the damage has already happened.

But, if the sound is only on one side, you can replace only the rubber cuff on the side which is not making the sound. This should be done soon, or you risk damaging the joint on that side too...

If it makes rattling sound on both sides, you need to replace both joints.

I hope this was clear..

Its a common thing on these cars that the rubber cuff get torn without owner notice it until its too late and the joints has to be replaced..

After you've fixed it, you should check them after a while too make sure they are intact..

Thanks amacam.. I was'nt sure what it was called, but thought maybe CV was right.
Anyways, it is the bearing on the driveshaft. If someone knows the correct word for it, please post.
