They definitely look nice - go for it! I opted for the clears since I have a Titanium Silver truck, but the smoked look awesome as well. I'm actually installing them right now - I have the left side completed and I'm taking a quick break and will finish up in a few minutes. So far, they look much nicer than the old tail lights!!! Very deep red.

I'm done - new LEDs!!!

OK, I'm done and what a huge difference. Here's a few pics of my new LEDs (crappy camera though). What an easy mod - about 1 hour and only $159! Huge difference! My next step is to swap out the orange bulbs with the silver stealth colored for the silver look. Mod on everyone!!!

They are not LED; they are standard orange incandescent bulbs. I wish they were LEDs, but hey, I still like the new look.

if you add resistors that issue should go away. a friend of mine with a modded grand marquise had the same issue with LED bulbs, and resistors solved that problem.

Thanks Essam! By the way, my 14 year old kid did the install almost by himself! I just gave him the 8mm socket wrench and a Philips head screwdriver and he did the rest. What an easy mod and a great new look for the X5. I took a ride tonight in the dark and they are very bright and look great.
