Hi everyone im new to this forum and was thinking of buying
this 02 Black E53 V8,has travellled 148,000 kms. Do you think the wheels are 2 blingy and are they too big? Also what do you think of the silver chrome trim bits.

hey, it looks like a nice car but cant really see what the wheels look like. the chrome trims look cheap but can be easily replaced with black ones. overall the car looks in really good condition, matt

It's a matter of personal taste but the wheels and chrome trim are completely awful. I don't know what the inventory of pre-owned E53s are in your area and how many you've looked at but I'd keep looking.

yeah, wheels are no good, maybe if they were black or gunmetal they'd look ok but the chrome makes a hot car look cheap, look for another. imo standard bmw looks best and always better for resale

IMO their's too much chrome hanging off that X. The rims are not doing it for me either, sorry. Best you keep looking.

chrome isnt necessarily bad, it just has to be tasteful, and the previous owner bit off a little bit more than the X needs, haha, IMO chrome isnt as "hot" as it used to be, good luck with you search

save the money, wait till you can get a 2004+ minus all the chrome

Tnks eveyone 4 ur comments. Will stick with my bmr 325 until i find something more tasteful. Out shopping 2morro. Have been reading up on the x5 s and want one bad they seem such a great ride. xxx
