What I am referring to is usually not a problem with most good brands tires, but some have slightly different specs than others.

If you go to tirerack and load up the tire options and look at the specs, one of the specs is "revs per mile". You just wanna make sure that is close to what you have installed. If you mix and match brands there can be 15 to 20 rotations per mile difference per axle and the first thing to go (over some time) is the splines on the front axle output shaft of the transfer case.

I just looked up the OEM michelin 20" staggered for my X, the fronts and rears both have 725 revs per mile. Looked up the bridgestone duelers, 726 revs per mile. That is as close as it gets so I would feel free to mix and match with those.

As long as you keep these specs in mind and do a decent match to keep within a certain amount of tolerance you won't have any issues, just want to give you the info so you can make informed decisions.

Ok I looked up the specs for the tires, and my existing Yokohamas (when new) were 723 revs per mile, the Hankooks are 724 revs per mile, so pretty close.

I can't see the point of having a quality vehicle and then compromising it by mixing the tyres.
