What do I need to connect my IPhone to the car stereo?

I heard the DICE did not work on the 2001

Dice will work just fine on a 2001 X5. Simply disconnect the CD changer and hook the DICE unit in its place.

What about if I want to connect it to the front?

You can easily extend a cable to the front of the vehicle. The DICE kit comes with a long enough cable to reach the front.
