Front end vibratioin, comes and goes

I just picked up an 06' 4.4i SP to replace the 04' that BMW repurchased.
The ride is excellent and a noticeable improvement over the ailing '04.
I'm on a road trip and I have noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and in the front seats while in the 60 to 75 mph range. The tricky part is that it is intermittent. Nothing bothers me more than taking a car in for service when the issue is on and off.
Any experiences would be appreciated.

two suspects are

- unbalanced wheels/tires
- control arms/bushings worn

start with the first option and see if anything changes. if not, check the second

if i happens when you begin to apply the brakes "at speed"...and or turn......it is the thrust arm bushings.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I am noticing this vibration randomly while cruising, nothing at all while braking.

I got a similar vibration and it was so strong that I felt the car was falling apart at about 30 -40 km/h. I stopped the car and checked the wheels and found nothing wrong. I could drive the care with no vibration for 10Km and all of sudden the vibration came back. I had this happening for a few days before I took it to the dealer. I had to replace the control arms and the strut bushing.
