i can get a general modual for a hundred dollars would it be cheaper just to take it to the dealer

Usually it ends up being cheaper paying for diagnosis than trying several parts that cost as much as, or more than the diagnosis anyways.

And if they tell you it needs a latch, you already have one... If it doesn't need the latch you can return it for refund saying you didn't need it. (don't tell them you installed it, tell them you decided to have it diagnosed first. that will avoid any return hassles)

got a inside connect at dealer one of my friends that live two doors down from me works there so not a prob to return anything but just hate taking it in and waiting thats all
